HOUSE OF KILIM

A kilim rug is a type of flat woven textile traditionally produced in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Kilims have flatweave construction which makes them reversible with the design visible on both sides. They are traditionally made from natural fibers primarily wool. Their flat, tight weave makes kilim lightweight and incredibly durable, suitable for high-traffic areas. Kilims are pileless and are hand-woven on looms. They are used as floor coverings, wall hangings and upholstery for furniture.
